Terms of Service

Last updated: 4 May 2026

By installing or using the FraudFlag Shopify app ("the Service"), you ("the merchant") agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, uninstall the Service.

FraudFlag is operated by FraudFlag Ltd, located at Peaceland Estate, Lagos, Nigeria.

1. What the Service does

FraudFlag scores incoming Shopify orders against a library of fraud-risk signals, presents the result in your Shopify admin, and optionally emails you alerts and a weekly digest.

FraudFlag is an intelligence tool. It does not guarantee that flagged orders are fraudulent, nor that unflagged orders are safe. Final decisions about fulfilment remain with you.

2. Subscription and billing

FraudFlag uses Shopify's Managed Pricing. Shopify charges the merchant on our behalf and remits payment to FraudFlag Ltd:

  • Free plan — $0/month. Limited to 50 orders scored per calendar month.
  • Basic plan — $19.99/month, with a 7-day free trial.

You may upgrade, downgrade, or cancel at any time from Shopify admin → Settings → Apps and sales channels → FraudFlag. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing cycle.

Refunds. If you believe a charge was made in error, contact us at [email protected] within 14 days of the charge. Refunds are issued at our discretion and processed via Shopify.

3. Intellectual property

All rights, title, and interest in the Service — including the signal library, scoring weights, source code, branding, and documentation — remain with FraudFlag Ltd. You retain full ownership of your store data. FraudFlag is granted only the access necessary to deliver the Service, in accordance with the Shopify scopes you approve at installation.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Reverse-engineer the Service or use it to enable fraud against third parties.
  • Resell or sublicense the Service without our written permission.
  • Use the Service to process data for any store other than the one on which you installed it.

5. Modifications

We may modify signals, weights, thresholds, and features to keep the Service useful. Breaking changes to paid-plan entitlements will be announced via the alert email you have on file with at least 14 days' notice.

6. Termination

You may uninstall the app at any time. We may suspend accounts found to be in breach of section 4 (Acceptable use).

7. Warranties and liability

The Service is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose or uninterrupted availability.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, FraudFlag's total liability for any claim arising out of or related to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the Service in the 30 days preceding the claim, and (b) USD $50.

8. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Lagos State, Nigeria. Disputes will be resolved in that jurisdiction's courts.
